some things happen spontaneously and turn out to be exactly right.
last saturday, we opened the doors of our zurich store for an afternoon we're still smiling about. no big plan, no elaborate setup — just good music, caipirinhas, sunshine energy, and the people who make this community what it is.
the idea came straight from anna's travels. earlier this year, she spent time in brazil — moving through rio, along the copacabana, up north and down south, discovering beaches, rhythms, and a way of being that's hard to put into words but very easy to feel. she came back with a lot of that energy still in her system. and at some point it felt only natural to bring a little of it to bäckerstrasse.
so we did.
dj tina filled the store with brazilian sounds. caipirinhas were made and shared. the afternoon stretched out in the way good afternoons do — unhurried, warm, full of conversations we didn't want to end.
and then there was the lid bag.
anna found it on a market somewhere along her journey. handmade by paulo, crafted entirely from over 500 recycled can tabs — bold, tactile, unlike anything we'd seen. it felt so completely itself that we knew it had to come home with her. this saturday, we launched it officially. limited pieces, each one slightly different, each one carrying a little bit of that trip with it.
it was a beautiful afternoon. thank you to everyone who came, danced a little, and stayed a while.
